Petonas mandates strict adherence to all international and local safety regulations for all personnel operating on Petonas rigs, vessels, and facilities. Failure to comply with established safety protocols, including mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety briefings prior to entering hazardous zones, may result in immediate suspension of operations or termination of employment/contract without notice.
Petonas is committed to minimizing environmental impact and requires all contractors and employees to strictly follow spill prevention and response plans. Any unauthorized discharge of oil, gas, or other pollutants into the environment will be treated as a severe breach of contract, subjecting the responsible party to full financial restitution, legal action, and potential disqualification from future work with Petonas.
All technical data, proprietary drilling techniques, geological models, and operational methodologies developed, owned, or used by Petonas remain the exclusive property of Petonas. Employees and contractors agree not to disclose, share, or utilize this intellectual property for any purpose other than performing their duties for Petonas, in violation of which will lead to immediate legal proceedings and a permanent injunction against such activities.
Petonas requires all employees and partners to disclose any existing or potential conflicts of interest that could influence their professional judgment or loyalty to Petonas. This includes financial interests in competing entities, undisclosed relationships with vendors or clients, or participation in outside ventures related to the oil and gas sector. Concealment of such conflicts will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
